Bon Odori

Technically Bon Odori is..

Obon (お盆, Obon?) or just Bon (盆, Bon?) is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the departed (deceased) spirits of one’s ancestors. This Buddhist custom has evolved into a family reunion holiday during which people return to ancestral family places and visit and clean their ancestors’ graves, and when the spirits of ancestors are supposed to revisit the household altars. Also called the Feast of Lanterns, it has been celebrated in Japan for more than 500 years and traditionally includes a dance, known as Bon-Odori.

As Obon occurs in the heat of the summer, participants traditionally wear yukata, or light cotton kimonos. Many Obon celebrations include a huge carnival with rides, games, and summer festival food like watermelon.

The festival ends with Toro Nagashi , or the floating of lanterns. Paper lanterns are illuminated and then floated down rivers symbolically signaling the ancestral spirits’ return to the world of the dead. This ceremony usually culminates in a fireworks display.

OH btw there were portable toilets. they were fun.

not bad. got alot chicks and alot leng zai also.

oh well..
getting on.. we had difficulties finding tickets..
we went around find find find then finally..

underage but.. they just swept past security. good job la. xD
then we were all in. since we were bored and we wanted to "look" like vip's,
we bought a chivaz bottle. rm420 i think. expensive like dog = =
but okay la.. share by 11 peep, reasonable lor..
then the dance started.. by miss YONG ^^ good one la jia yeen's mom.
then everybody started dancing. we were drinking and drinking..
not much feel.. cuz the music was beats.. and beats.. AND beats. bored. lol
so after drinking we just went down for some moves.
walk around. here dance abit. there dance abit.
not that bad la. at least, we managed to enjoy ourselves.
then we checked downstairs. woohoo,the music rox wei. but unfortunately..
u can only shake there. not dance. too crowded and limited space..
the girls very kesian keep kena chao sui xDxD
then after around 2.30 i followed jeff and juin back home.
did had fun. not too bad la. when we left the ones outside are all foxxing drunk.
the girl had to be piggybacked. lol. poor thing. ^^
police were right beside the club. smart la them.
lucky jeff was awake. xD
so there we go. reached home at 3++.
slept at 4. tired like dog. ^^ end~

Phone Died~

Yes people. My one and only phone mati'd.
Well, when i thought the day would get any better,
was in the middle of "Pooling".. suddenly i felt my phone vibrating,
then i pick lor. Mana tahu.. the phone screen got crack!
got green.. blue.. red.. like rainbow lidat.. with one huge crack..
i was totally stunned. speechless and my mind went blank..
i didnt came in contact with anyone.. at all..
moments ago i was still smsing.. then suddenly..
two words la. F**ked up. sigh.
well that's all ba.. going to phone shop now.. if beyond repair idk what to do..
so be it then.. peace..

Week 2 at collge~

Yo, surprised how often i can actually update my blog.
Now still damn free.. (excluding the homework times blablabla~ xD)
oh well. we got a new lecturer today.
not exactly new but, a lecturer that we met for the very first time.
His intro was like..
"Name's Mr Simon. Simon Kok.
There are 3 rules in my class~
Rule no 1 --> Be punctual
Rule no 2 --> There's only 2 modes ur handphones can be in SILENT/VIBRATION OR OFF
Rule no 3 --> *this one pwns* U have a total of 7 days to ask me any question RELATING to the topic learnt at the time of the present class. Extendable period if there are PT's or Mock's. And IF there were to be questions AFTER the 7 days, i have 2 options..
1. I WILL CHARGE AN AMOUNT OF RM10 PER QUESTION ASKED.. OR
2. I CAN CHOOSE TO IGNORE UR QUESTION
of course i will choose the first one first.. so are we clear?
any objections? *silence..* GOOD.
The whole class was damn quiet i tell u.

Then dunno why suddenly, talk about politics liao. LOL
Then he went like "Singapore & Malaysia was fighting over a rock..
In the end.. Singapore won the rock and Malaysia got another rock..
Papers wrote it was a win-win situation.. Did Malaysia get the rock? NO

Back 2 School ;O

Oh Gawd, hols are finally over.
Kinda missing it now =/
ahaha. Still, u can't slack forever jack. Gogogo. ;D
Well, found it pretty hard to wake up at 7.
Already got used to getting up at 11 everyday since hols.
No wonder they call me a PiGGiE. Eat Sleep Stone.
Except the mudding part changed into gaming and online.

At least our classroom's are not that cold anymore..
Lecturers.. Can only be describe in three U's..
Unexpected, UNunderstandable, and Unbelievable. ;D

Mr Tan and Mr Jay's teaching were unexpectedly good..
So even the slackers(dotards except for Ryan xD) were sitting in the very front row. ;D
Ms Pay Ling as usual.. Woman with deep words..
Till this very day, she remains as the deepest yet dedicated lecturer..
With her very quote "You're here but ur actually not here.."
i think i'm still trying to figure it out.. good job la Pay Ling xD
and finally.. Ms Annie.. U see her hair.. face.. u would probably think..
Just another aunty in her 50's~ but unbelievably..
The first thing she greeted us was..
"Yo, so cool man!" i was like ftw?!
the whole class stun 9 there. and furthermore,
she's like so melodramatic.. U should've seen her actions.. her way of presenting..
totally.. UNBELIEVABLE.. i kinda feel that she's more modernized than me T.T
ahaha.. oh well ;O
Our breaks suck though. Imagine what we have to go through.
9 hours of class and theres only 45 min break and 30 break in between?
not even enough time to go Rock Cafe to eat "Ban Min"~
although breaks are more frequent now, but i still think they should give us an hour or so..
At least la.. Please la.. Kita ni org juga.. Bukan sperman.. Letih tau.. xD
well, there goes my first week at school.. Kinda fun. Cuz no homework.. ^^ (right? oops.. xD)
Looking forward to next week.. Heard there's prom night.. Idk if i'll make it..

CHEER 2009~ CALYX MADE HISTORY ;D

Well, went to the LRT station at Kelana Jaya at 9.30 with my cousin, Ching Sheung.
Me and Cs was like, pretty much excited over this years tournament.
We didnt manage to go yesterday, so yea, we went with excitement.
Reached Masjid Jamek to switch to Star LRT at around 10+-.
Was really crowded. LOL
Reached Bukit Jalil at aroound uhm, 10.30~
there was a futsal competition on the way~ nice xD
then there we are. We got on seperate ways.
Him with his GF, also known as Mel, nice and lovely couple they are.
And me.. Kena ffk xDxD so stoned at Calyx area.
Was wearing a red tee. Luckily friend bought me extra. =]

the teams started performing. Alot of nice music, sweet moves and flashy uniforms.
I liked our squad's uni. It was pink like no other. Sweet ;D
Was cheering for other teams too. Damn the stadium is packed. So hot too~
Lunch time at 1.30~ ate meehoon and drank mineral water. Aunty gave me free nuts ;D
Met vinc seen. Nice guy. Ex schoolmate. He came for both days. Supportive lad. ^^
We sat together. Awaiting the performance of our beloved team, CALYX.
All the teams were good. Hard to tell them apart besides their uniform. Haha.
Then the exciting moment came. The TOP 15.
CALYX got into top 15 on SAT. Yay ^^
All the top 15 teams were really TOP.
They were all extraordinary. Best of the best. LOL
So nervous. Was awaiting for our teams performance. 34... 35... 36!!
"The next team in line... CALYX ALL GIRLS~!!!"
The whole CHS croud went like WOO~ HOO~ YEA~ WOW~ AHHH~
We were never this mad before. Haha.
We shouted at the top of our lungs. Worried it might puncture somehow xD
Then the performance started. I hate to say this but..
U GIRLS WERE FOXXING AWESOME~!!!
The timing, precision and style~ THEY WERE HOT AND ROLLING BABY! =D
We cheered from the very beginning to the very end of the performance.
Really.. Really.. FANTASTIC. FLAWLESS xDxD
They totally PWNED out there.
I would say THATS HOW CHEERLEADING SHOULD BE!

Then there were awesome performance by the judges~ MJ songs~
Then.. *gulps*
MOMENTS OF TRUTH. HOLYSHIT.
5th place................... DYNAMITEZ!

Can u believe it now?
For the past TEN years we never got into top 10..
But for this very once, we got 3RD.

We were roaring. Outrageous. The tears of joy and pain. A day to be remembered. T.T

anyway.. Shirtliff got 2nd and Blitzerz got FIRST.

Well, basicly i don't blog. Used to think it was too troublesome to update or create one. But since everyone else has one AND i seem to have alot of crap and junk to share, i mean why not? ;D

Since this is my very first blog and it's already june, there's hell lotsa shit to write.

Around Jan,
First joined CAT aka Certified Accounting Technician at Sunway University College.
Damn nice place but damn sucky course. Sucky because u get the shortest breaks, longest hours and most frequent exams. F.Y.I. its ONCE EVERY 3 WEEKS.
Survived pretty much of it. Unexpectedly tiring as secondary school only has like, 6 hours a day? and this has around 8? Something crazy people would do. But yea. Im officially a crazy no life kid now. Been fitting in pretty much. Used to getting up 7am, Going home at 6 in the evening, Having 3 hour classes and also getting lectured by lecturers (Especially Mr Tan. He hates me =/)
Around March,
Know pretty much of my mates. Dotards - Kenneth, Jeffrey & Ryan.
Got to know the whole class. A hangout gang. And yea. Falling in love. LOL
Okay, i did get together with a girl from my class. Names Nicole. She was somewhat different from the rest. She's sweet, caring, lovely, adorable, charming and the best words i could ever describe her. She's like THE ONE. Yea u know. =]
But i guess life's weird. Though we really liked each other, we kinda broke up after 3 weeks. Complicated. Pretty sad. One thing i'd remember for the rest of my life. =]
Oh well, but what's done is done. Move on and look up front right? ;D
HELL YEA PASSED T1 AND T2.
(It's really stupid that i'm exempted from T1 yet i still have to pay for it? Gah stupid money minded freaks! ==")

JULY~
HOLYSHIT FINALS MAN!
Studying like mad. Went to MCD to resist the temptation of the PC at home ;D
Every paper was seriously "breathtaking" and "scary".
Never actually got so serious in my life. Yes i'm lazy call me whatever u want. But i still haven't been so "HARDWORKING" since liek what, forever? LOL
The 3 days was damn hard to pass. Seconds felt like years and Minutes felt like centuries and Hours felt like Forever. Finally over. Screw T5. Crazy paper. I didn't even know what i wrote till today. Haha. Anyway~
HOLIDAYS WOOHOO~
Went Genting.
Day 1
Kinda screwed up as we(me and jeff)waited up at skyway for like what, 3 hours?
Reached the genting at about 3 i think. Pretty cool. The cable cars WERE scary. Really. Squeeky sound especially. Kenneth stop holding my hands! xD
Nth much. Just ate buffet. Not too bad. Had deserts. Wasted alot of food. (jack u suck!) ;P and yea, watched BLOOD. (6/10 rating i suppose ;D)
Played alot of pool and snooker. Learned snooker today. Lotsa Fun. ;D
Day 2
THEME PARK DAY. KICK ASS FUN. Tried almost everything (even the sucky ones) and the best is still SPACE SHOT (2 THUMBS UP). I thought i felt like i lost my balls halfway through the fall. Scary. BUT IT WAS AWESOME. Me and kenneth got sunburned. Went back 2 the hotel for a "nap". Got buzzed up for dinner. Then PLAYED UNO. Okay it doesn't seem right but hey, we were like waiting for people to be ready, why not? ;D
Something i never expected i'd do.
Clubbing at SAFARI.
Had to pay rm50 split among 9 people. Ladies Night. Wished i was a girl too =/
Drank and Dance. Alot of fun. I didn't get drunk though. Or was i? xD
Gave Jeff a surprise TART. Glad u liked it. Haha. slept about 4. Like pigs. =]
Day 3
Fell sick. Really sick. Didn't feel well. Maybe missing Genting. Haha. After spaceshot, cable cars were nth. So yea. We waved to people as we pass other cars. xDxD
Reached home about 5. Knocked out. =]

thats pretty much about my trip. now let's skip to uh..
Btw, so sorry couldn't join u guys for Bak Kut Teh at Klang. U know i would've digged for it but i gotta take care of my aunt. She fell. During qi-gong. She's kinda heavy. So it was pretty serious. stayed there for like 3 days. I was like maid. But yea. Glad u guys enjoyed xDxD

then Tuesday, 30th June,
Skating. As usual. The gang. ;D
But jeff didnt skate. Kinda sad =/
But i'll make sure he does next time.
Hurt my lil left toe. Ouch. Bleeded ;P

lastly, Wednesday, 1st JULY.
Pool at AC. Tables there were freaking nice. I mean by super nice.
Smooth like dunno wat. xD PWNED. Sry guys. It's my day.xD
Played foosball too. It's fun. I'm good at attacking. Me and jeff. UNPWNABLE. xD
Went for futsal in the evening. Near my place.
With dotards, Tall guy and Spec guy. Had another friend Roy too. Roy PWN'd us all.
But oh well, we had fun. (Ryan's gotta pay more attention next time xD)
Dead tired. Ended at 6. All went back. So yea. That's pretty much about my day.

So yea. It's kinda late now. I mean it's early but i'm pretty worn out. ;D
